Wrap a soft tape around the widest part of the rib cage, just behind the front legs. This is the measurement that matters most for a back-zip vest.

Back length

Base of the neck to the base of the tail, standing square. The vest should end at or just before the tail.

Is it actually waterproof?

It's water-resistant — the shell beads off drizzle and snow on a walk. A soaking downpour will eventually get through. One buyer put it plainly: "it helps as a coat, not for rain."

How do I put it on?

Unzip the back, step your dog's front legs through the two openings, zip down the back. The D-ring at the collar takes a leash clip directly, or wear it over your usual harness.

What size should I get?

Measure chest girth and match it to the size chart. It runs about two sizes small versus US pet-apparel sizing — a 21 lb dog fits a 2XL. If it's wrong, returns are covered for 30 days.

How do I wash it?

Hand wash cold or machine wash gentle in a laundry bag, hang dry. Don't tumble dry — the PP-cotton fill can clump under heat.

When will it arrive?
